1. Science- Big Bad Wolf Blowing Activity
Activity:
In the fairy tale, The Three Little Pigs, the Big Bad Wolf huffed and puffed and blew the little pigs house in. Now it’s your turn to be the Big Bad Wolf. Find 5-10 objects from around the house with your child. Make a chart like the one below or make a space to sort the objects into 2 categories. (Yes, the object moves when I blow it? No, the object does not move when I blow it?) Make observations with your child. Which object moved the fastest? Why do you think something did not move? Have fun.
2. ELA- Story Sequencing: Three Little Pigs (“kind version” from Tuesday)
Option 1: Print, cut, sequence, color
- Print out the story sequencing cards
- Have your child cut out the 4 pictures
- Sequence the 4 pictures to put the story in order
- Color the pictures
Option 2: Verbal sequence
- Look at the picture sequencing cards
- Have your child verbally narrate the story sequence using the words “first,” “then,” “next,” and “last” to retell the story
- Then, have your child draw a picture of his/her favorite part of the story.
